EVANESCENCE Climb Up U.K. Charts
May 28, 2003EVANESCENCE's major label debut, "Fallen", has climbed up the U.K. album charts this week from No. 6 to No. 3.
The band have also just announced their debut U.K. headline show. The Arkansas band will play the London Astoria on June 19.
"Fallen", which has already been certified gold in the U.K. for sales in excess of 100,000 copies, debuted in the U.K. charts four weeks ago at No. 18, and climbed the following week to No. 12. "Fallen" was also recently certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipments of more than 1,000,000 copies in the U.S. Sales have been fueled by the multi-format smash "Bring Me To Life", which features Paul McCoy of 12 STONES.
